This one I'm really proud of, it took me a bit to do this one, first I had to build the jap carrier, it's about 10" long and made of cardboard and paper (flat) then held the avenger (1/18) in one hand and took the picture.

They're all different scales, so I could get the right look, hope y'all will enjoy!

Cool 8)

They look like vintage photos, that's the idea, you've got the knack, like your snow scene.

Thought about a similar photo scheme like your Avenger photo, only with a miniature of the Bismark which you can buy now these days, and a Corgi Swordfish, with forced perspective, it would look like a torpedo run on the German Battleship?

It would be nice to know how to use Photoshop in those instances to edit out the stand and other things you don't want in the photo, but ways to get around that with cropping etc.

I find that many people who do use it ends up looking like it was Photoshop-ed though.

Thank you, and for scenes like your talking about, I like to use an actual background instead of photoshop, so I might just do this with my altaya swordfish to show an example, and post it here, it will probably be a little while though, need to build a ship, and make the scene.

The S-3 is a good example though, for that I used a faded drawing of a carrier deck and the steam in the background from a vaporizer, and just a quick photo edit the give it that early picture look...

Yeah don't know anything about Photoshop myself. Be surprised what you can do with just a good background and positioning.

Forces of Valor makes a good Bismarck. They used to be cheap. Was thinking more along the lines of a wargame miniature might be a little cheaper.

Don't think I have the patience to do a model kit.

For once your grainy, blurry photo style works out quite well - great pics :D

I know those are 32x German tankers posing as German/Japanese/RAF ground crew, but they do the trick

Is that a complement? just kidding!
And yeah their German tank crew, don't have no others besides the one FOV RAF crewman in the spitfire shot.

Thought I'd add a couple recent photos, most are from the 2014 Tinker AFB Air show
