Question about Constellation airliner diecast

Post by [CAT]CplSlade » Tue Nov 13, 2012 8:08 pm

A buddy of mine through Battlefield is interested in acquiring a few models for his office. He is more of a post-war airliner guy, and is looking for a Constellation for under $100 that is still of a decent desktop size. I would think one that comes with a stand would work best as getting it up off the tabletop might give it more "presence".

I don't follow commercial craft so I don't know what is out there. Any recommendations? I understand $100 doesn't buy much these days, but the guy is on a budget so that's a constraint.

My alternative is to suggest he go much smaller, say 1/300, and get a variety of craft to fill a corner of the desk or a prominent display shelf instead.

Looks like 1/144 fits the bill for his needs.

Big enough people will still go "Oooh!" but not so small the AC might blow it onto the floor.

Thanks.
