i know for the most part we are clamouring for brand new products but there are still some repaints i'd like to see. Now that BBI seems to be back in the game, what would you like/expect/hope to see as far as repaints go?
I think a new Hellcat tops my list....a late war, all dark blue one
A midwar Zero would be great, something like the Solomons Zero that was planned and cancelled a couple of years ago. Maybe something with a bit more zip like a Rabaul Zero, sporting a camo scheme like in the well known photo.
A new Corsair would always be welcome and i think is very likely, given they sell out pretty fast. An earlier war one along the lines of Marine's Dream would be good.
Another 109....maybe cheat a tad and make a 109F from the eastern front or north africa.
a Tuskegee P-51 from either bbi or allgo (preferred)
other repaints needed?
other repaints needed?
i never met an airplane i didn't like...
Re: other repaints needed?
Since BBI seems to have the back catalog edge...F18 and Corsair for sure
The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.

Yes a Rabaul Zero (silver & green spots) I ordered one from MTS before they were cancelled.
Ace of Japanese aces Nishizawa would be cool. http://www.sshqdb.com/32/thumbnails.php?album=41
TKO did one a while back. If they could get the colors right. I think the khaki tan on the 1:32 21stC Zero is closer to reality than the off white BBI 1:18 though.
Late war Hellcat and Corsair, all dark blue, with white insignia, even glossier would be nice.
The 1:32 Saidor scheme is nice for the Corsair. http://www.sshqdb.com/32/thumbnails.php?album=173

Re: other repaints needed?
Given that BBI seem to be back in the 1/18 game, albeit just, some repaints would be more likely than a new tooling.
I wonder how well the Hartmann 109, and EF F-16 have sold. In my opinion, two of the smartest repaints that BBI could have done. If these don't do well, I doubt BBI would be in any rush to do other repaints. Just being realistic. Perhaps an F-18.
More interested in ETO, but have 5 Corsairs { just love the aircraft}, but only one Hellcat, and one Sakai Zero.
Think the Me 109 is probably the best candidate, and would like to see some other aces aircraft.
The Zero would be a good choice for BBI to do some other schemes. Late war camo would definitely fill a void, and would do well with the PTO crowd.
I think it all depends on how well the first two repaints have done, and if there are enough collectors willing to spend realistic prices for these future repaints. If there is a market, see no reason why they wouldn't.
