Hey, I need to know what I should use for gun and helmet straps. I think someone once said something about cutting strips of toothpaste tubes and then painting them for straps. How do I make buckles? And how do I realistically attach the straps to the gun without just gluing it on?
Thanks,
AJ

I use paper sometimes. Or some sort of soft metal... like a toothpaste tube.

I've experimented with a lot of different approaches for this (cut rubber bands - black or tan; various colors of electrical tape - taped sticky side to each other), but I think this solution is one of the best I've found:

Totally realistic buckles would be tricky, but I think the above method is a pretty good compromise.
