The "Four for Victory" prize is revealed!!!!

Post by hworth18 » Mon Sep 12, 2005 11:20 am

P-51 Mustang, 363rd F.G. Lt. R.W. Mann's “Tender Terror"

This unique scheme features “pin-up girl” nose art that was most commonly found on WWII Bombers & Fighters. 21st Century Toys, Inc. unearthed this little known, but spectacular airplane while researching paint schemes for the general production Mustangs soon to be released in their all new tooling. (courtesy of 21st century)

Looks like this will be a nice Mustang to have.. Congrats on those of you who entered..

Ahhhhh. Victory is close. I suspect the 4 for victory winners will be the first ones to receive the new mustang mold.

I have no clue but am guessing around 50 may have participated and won.

I guess AREA 21 will announce soon enough.

Yippee :D
One hundred and fifty three - 1:18 scale aircraft on the ceiling looks  damn good!

Thats really nice.
Is there still time to get on board?
When is the cut off?

And what would I do with 4 FW-190's :?

contest ends soon. End of september maybe? There are 4 different paint schemes available for the 190D, not including the Europe exclusive, so at least you don't have to buy repeats. You can try trading with board members if you can't find all 4 in your area. All the schemes are quite nice and historical. Display one, store three for the future.

The Mustang looks pretty good and will no doubt be highly collectible one day, as the number being produced is probably pretty low..

Purchase any four (4) FW-190 D9’s from any Wal-Mart store from June 15, 2005 through September 30, 2005.

Next, clip all four proofs of purchase bar codes and mail it with your original Wal-Mart receipt to 21st Century Toys, Inc. Labeled as 21st Century Toys, FW-190 D9 promotion to 2456 Verna Court, San Leandro, CA 94577.

Well this ends tomorrow, I hope it goes off without a hitch.
I would hate to have 4 FW's and no 51.
My wife would put the quietis on XD, even though I got mine for half price.

I shopped around and exchanged until I have all 4 USDM Fw-190's.

Just days 'til the Zero and both P-51's ship. :fingerscrossed:

To get off topic by speaking of the FW-190D9s that sparked this contest...

Thanks TKO for posting the info about White 1, Red 3 and Blue 12 on the Area 21 site! The info on Michaelski's plane was especially helpful. Hopefully, such posts will become regular for many of the other aircraft in the future!

Question to those that entered this contest - (maybe TKO- 21st Fan Club Prez can shed some light-) Is 21st Century suppose to contact you with shipping information after you send the receipts and proofs of purchases?
I can't remember if I included my email address with my address...
TKO - Can you tell us what to expect??

I realize this might be a stupid question, but......

When 21st announced this contest, it was to get rid of the Fw-190s that are gathering dust on the shelves.. Okay......
So we buy up the lingering 190's and what does Walmart do?????

Well, it is Walmart you're talking about.

Seriously, Nothing Walmart does suprises me. (Unless they do something right) They truly are a double edged sword though. No WM, likely no 21C. Sell 21C at WM, go bald early tearing your hair out, just trying to find stuff. Oh, and as for trying to figure out WM's logic.......GOOD LUCK.

Hworth, the only thing I've seen since the Fw-190s hit walmarts in my area is 190s. I know most are selling (because I've seen red 3's and black 12's move) only to see a restock a day or two later.
The contest was a great idea but why are some parts of the country over loaded with 190's? :?

Actually, I am in the process of updating the web site right now. The pomotion is now closed and everyone should plan on being contacted directly from 21st this coming week. The winners of the limited edition nose art panels have already been drawn out. Roy and I did that last week while I was visiting 21st H.Q. Because of iHobby Expo and simply because there is some serious time involved with organizing the back end of this 21st and AREA-21 has taken much of last week getting all the winners sorted out. I think we have the green light to release the names of the panel winners monday or tuesday this week. iHobby has had all of us scrambling... Anyway before anyone asks... No, none of the nose art panel winners have been notified yet. Everyone will learn who they are at the same time when the list is posted on AREA-21. 3 people tied for the top place winner panels by entering the promotion more than once! 3 people were double aces!!!! meaning they bagged a total of 8 airplanes!!! So if you are one of those double Aces you can plan on having won 1 of the top 3 panels. Meaning someone own the panel that is limited edition stamped as 001, another that is 002, and another that is 003!

As far as when to expect the P-51's... not exactly sure on that yet. We should have a full report this week as well as every person contacted directly from 21st.

Good luck!

Congratulations Ace!

21st Century Toys, Inc. and the AREA-21 Fan Club would like to be the first
to thank you for your bravery and service. By completing the "4 for Victory
Air War Promotion" you are part of an elite group. Be proud of your
accomplishment and take your place in the 'Winners Circle of Aces!' As you
may already be aware, because of your commitment you will be awarded a very
special prize. A VERY limited edition of our P-51D Mustang, "Tender Terror"
airplane awaits. This promotion is destined to be one for the history books
as one of the most aggressive, and exclusive prize offerings ever conceived
and executed by any toy company.

Because we want the very best for our Aces, we are asking for your patience
as we finish the final revisions and paint masks for our new P-51D Mustang
mold. The progress is moving on your new P-51 and you can expect delivery of
this amazing new aircraft sometime early next year.

wow...great year for figures but...

Post by digger » Thu Nov 10, 2005 6:30 am

Sounds like the P-51 is not due until 2006...did the 109G debut this year or at the end of last year? Could it be that 2005 saw only one new plane from 21st :? ? It was a great year for figures and vehicles with the USMC, Japanese, Sahara, BoB, Panzer tank, the Truck, the humvee, the RC tanks, the re-released halftracks, COED, etc....but it has to be one of the slower years in terms of new AC, no?

I remember people talking about "9 new AC" this year and it's looking more like 3 total counting the Zero and the Corsair. Never had much sympathy for you fly-boys but looking back this year has not lived up to expectations. On the other hand, it seems bbi gave up on armor :( We got the Super Humvee and that's it....after the Sherman I thought for sure we could get another piece of WWII armor but it has been a year and nothing. :( You guys who did not buy the bbi Sherman b/c you have 6 Shermans don't know what you are missing - it is a different model with all sorts of detail - buy it and support the cause!! :o
