what are the little bits for on the BBI Corsair?

Post by aferguson » Thu Oct 06, 2011 7:02 pm

i opened my Daisy June and there is a little bag of bits. Most i know what are for but there are 4 little tubular thingies, two short, two longer i have no idea what they are for. And two little tiny bits rounded with a location peg on the back. What are they for? The instructions don't show them.

ooooh. and the little curved bits cover over two of the gun ports. Very cool. Would have been nice if they said that somewhere.

thanks, :)

Your not referring to the supports for the wings when folded. The manual shows them in the third picture down along the left side.

no, i new what the supports were for. It was the little tubular bits. I think they were meant to be used for the korean war version that bbi made.

ok now i'm really bamboozled. Are there supposed to be 2 sets of hardpoints included with the plane? The only hardpoints i have, have no holes in them, so there is no way of mounting the drop tanks to the plane, unless i drill holes in the hardpoints i have. Am i missing another set that have holes in them??

Yes, very nice. The BBI Corsair tooling is simply awesome and "Daisy June" is BBI's only true WWII-accurate Corsair. The others were all airshow schemes. Personally, the original S1 "Marine's Dream," is still my favorite though.
