Re: Question about JSI Panther
I don't have the JSI panther, but I don't think any of the former 21st now JSI tanks or aircraft come with figures.
You can order a tanker online.....
.......but the uniform looks blue.

Re: Question about JSI Panther
Why did they have to make that tanker in that horrid blue? All their other figures were spot-on with the original 21c figures, then the tanker (the one I actually would have bought multiples of) comes out looking like some sort of Luftwaffe pilot
Guess I could just repaint one or two in the correct black

Re: Question about JSI Panther
That is why Merit never did import these figures. Wrong color decoration and a Modern day German flag for WWII German figures,.......normandy wrote:I don't have the JSI panther, but I don't think any of the former 21st now JSI tanks or aircraft come with figures.

The inventory was waiting for correction and then stolen from storage.

Seems like there is a lot of stealing and illegal activities going on with the demise of 21C.

Re: Question about JSI Panther
another question: is the unit/location of the jsi panther known? I know it's very late war but is it berlin, western front etc?
i never met an airplane i didn't like...
Re: Question about JSI Panther
and the answer is:
"The model represents a Panther G as built by MNH. That factory was known for the striped camo as well as putting the balkenkreuz on the turret sides. As MNH was one of three suppliers of the Panther it's likely that a Panther like that would be seen both in the west and in the east from late 1944 to the war's end."
thanks for the help, everyone....lol.

Re: Question about JSI Panther
There is a similar red panther with the same stripes in 1/35 scale made by minichamps on ebay an the description said:PzKpfw V Panther Ausfuhrung G (Type G) medium tank that was attached to Panzer-Division Müncheberg then defending the Oder River during early 1945
I found it on completed listings in ebay. I have the JSI Panther tank and is one of my favorites. The tank has not been weathered by JSI,but since this tank represent a 1945 production(last year of the war)it did not see much battle so it is excusable not to have weather. At this stage of war the Germans budget was short so this where left in primer, also to save time since this tanks where rush out of the factory to defend Germany from the allied invasion. The only thing i don't like much about the tank is that it is hard to find something that displays good next to the tank.I use the Ultimate soldier RED Brick building side next to it.Also it is a good base for custom painted project because if the tank get scratch it will look more realistic showing the red primer beneath the camouflage or zimmerit.

Re: Question about JSI Panther
i was reading about division Müncheberg that was formed in the Berlin area just before the end of the war. They had several IR equipped panthers plus support of IR equipped panzer grenadiers. They launched a successful night assault in the final days of the war, against soviet infantry. This may be the only combat use of the IR equipped panthers, although there may have been one in the west against shermans. I'm not sure if 'entrenched soviet infantry' means that literally ie they shelled infantry or if there was tank vs tank action or what. Interesting nonetheless.
I may custom up a little IR searchlight and viewer and put it on the JSI panther.

Re: Question about JSI Panther
Hey All, Has anyone here bought the JSI Panther and Tiger? Badcat has them on sale and I was thinking of buying them but am hoping folks here can tell me if they like the quality of the paint, etc.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: Question about JSI Panther
i've got the panther. It's still in its box but i checked it out and it looks great. Probably the best paint scheme done on that mold.

Received the JSI Tiger and Panther this week. Im really impressed with the overall quality. From the packaging to the paint application, they really did a great job. Too bad they dont have more molds
