TRU 1:48ish diecast P-38 and P-47?
I saw these today I was rushing through so I didn't have time to inspect them closely. The look pretty nice considering they are like 14 bucks.

I saw those the other day as well. They remind me of something like the New Ray models, so really rather cheap and not of the best quality. I tend to prefer the fancier 1:48 scale diecast planes... I guess if one is on a budget, they would be a good way to go.
Still, as I looked at that piddly P-38, I couldn't help thinking that I was standing in the same store that nearly a decade earlier sold a 1:18 scale version of the same plane that had all working features, removable ordinance, counter-rotating props, retractable gear, opening cockpit, a pilot figure, and lots of Xtreme Detail

Yes, I have seen these at my local Hobby USA. Not awesome detail but OK for the price.

The ones sold at Hobbytown USA are not the same ones at TRU. I briefly looked at the ones at TRU and decided they were toy-grade, not even worth scrutinzing.DocTodd wrote:Yes, I have seen these at my local Hobby USA. Not awesome detail but OK for the price.
