Twice the price of the BBI,and easily in a totally different class.
One of the
absolute best 1/32 diecast pieces around.

That is one sweet SBD.

Detail is amazing.
A really good price too.
I've got a few bills to pay off before I can get one though. I like that scheme, even though the upcoming Midway Dauntless is cool, the light blue 42' scheme is very similar to the BBI one, so I would want this one first.
Good score.

Very nice. I do like the prop spinner on this much better than the BBI, and the detail really does look fantastic.

I got mine on Ebay.
The Hobby Master is definitely a sharp looking model. A bit too steep for my budget though.

Harry there were a couple about 12 months or maybe longer ago sold on e-bay for around the $30 mark. I snagged one for $36 including shipping.

That would have been a price I would pay for the BBI Dauntless as I just don't feel like they are worth too much more than that. Too bad I missed out.
Oh well, I made the ultimate "splurge" and bought the Best Midway Dauntless today. It was a pretty penny, but I can make up for the majority of the cost if I sell my Trumpeter Dauntless w/ decals.

HM makes a beautiful Dauntless model. Only complaint is the pilot figures. They kind of look wierd, where the BBI pilot is awesome.

I got a decent deal, $135 picked up. After getting the Dauntless home and examining it a little closer, I have to say that it is probably one of the nicest 1/32 diecast aircraft I have seen to date. All of the control surfaces move/articulate and everything just looks great! The engine detail is superb and the interior looks the part. If you can pick one of these up, I would highly recommend it. A couple of other selling points is that these are limited to only 500 issued, the last Midway Dauntless sold out quickly and still commands a good resale value.

hworth seal of approval.
Glad you like it Harry.
Great piece of diecast, that although pricey,is definitely worth it.
