Question about Small Blue Planet.

Post by kevrut » Mon Jul 04, 2005 5:43 pm

Does anyone know anything about the 1/18 P-51 and P-47 Bubble Top they advertise that has "nude nose art"? Are these new planes, or old planes with new decals? I haven't noticed anyone mention this before.

The pictures were blank for me from the beginning - I don't know if the birds were ever shown. The Double Black Chevron is made by Corgi in 1/32 so you can see that scheme easy, the P-47 I'm hoping is a Georgia Peach...hmmmm...peaches 8) ....the P-51 is anyone's guess :D

hmm.....the G14 has some structural changes from the G-6. 21c is supposedly now against representing aircraft that dont match the structure of the existing plane (eg using the corsair as a Korean corsair, using the Mk 1 spitfire as a Mk V etc).

I doubt they altered the molds, so perhaps they've decided to be more leniant in this regard again...

Odd they're advertising S3 before S2 is even out.

To change the subject a bit, I just checked out SBP and they had some great prices on some of the BOB figs. One of the lowest I've seen for an on-line retailer.

If they changed tha canopy the G-6 would look similiar to a G-14. Like the late G-6 or G-6 AS. Although I doubt it but then again they did do that for the P-47.

I WISH THEY WOULD MAKE AN FW 190A!!!!!

Yeah, but $60 is WAY too steep a price for it. It could chase away collectors.....
