1/72 M5 Stuarts and M8 GMC coming.

Post by Panzer_M » Thu Apr 01, 2010 9:26 am

Mirage is planning on dropping these 2Q or early 3Q(Right now the M3A3 Stuart, AKA Stuart IV or V in Commonwealth service? is out on the market) Not sure what the M31 is off-hand, I'll have to look that one out. Also no drop-date for the Soviet Lend-Lease Stuart they have planned. Kits are pretty simple to build, and have 1 piece flex tracks. If they are like the T-26s I have..details are good and the build is pretty easy without much for sinks or flash..instruction sheets can be a little vague with the lost in translation factor..but still price-point for the kits are good, esp if you can snag them on a squadron or great model sale for 5-6$ ea

Hopefully you are right. Mirgae has had M5s listed in their "upcoming releases" for a couple years now. The M5A1 is way overdue in 1/72nd. These made up 25-30% of US tank strength in Europe in WW2.

The M31 ARV is a recovery vehicle based on the M3 "Lee" medium tank. Sometimes referred to as a "T2", its prototype designation. Figarti made one in 1/30th and there are several conversion kits in 1/35th.
