i was in Lowes tonight checking out their Lemax (well at Lowe's the "brand" is Carole Town, but it's still Lemax) Christmas Houses since it's getting closer to Christmas and it's time to add more to the collection, and i saw some verying interesting birdhouses, yeah that's right, birdhouses.
never would have thunk it, but i took a look at them and they were almost PERFECT scale to use for buildings for 1:18 figures. here's the two that i saw there:

considering the relatively cheap price for decent quality and detail, slap some paint on em and they'd look great. got me thinking to check around other stores and sites as well to see what's available.

Very cool.
The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.

hell yeah!!!
hey, at least these two look much nicer (once painted) and are much cheaper than those crappy (except the giant house....that is still epic) Playmobile houses. plus they're alot closer to the right size than things like Playmobile. i don't have the skill or time to make my own buildings, and honestly don't have the money to buy some of the customs i've seen here and on ebay (even though many are awesome)
cent-one, very nice, i got a chuckle out of that.
i was actually planning to use these particular two to make an eastern front dio of a russian village. if any of you guys by chance play(ed) the game Red Orchestra, my inspiration is from the map Arad as seen in this video:
