interesting 4" gi joe site

Post by bswearer » Sat Jul 18, 2009 4:54 am

so i keep searching around for hats/helmets to make some custom 1:18 scale russians and NVA/vietcon soldiers and i've been seeing suggestions to use some gi joe heads/headwear, and i stumbled across this site:
http://www.guru-planet.com/index.html

possible russian headgear:

plus, some of the older cobra troops look like their helmets have the shorter "ear flaps" on the side as well.

possible NVA/vietcong:

lots of good stuff here for customs, especially in the head and hats sections.

nice link cent-one! found a few of those heads, except it seems like i can find the whole figure cheaper in some other places then paying upwards to $5 per head, plus then having to paint them.....i'm gonna crunch the numbers and look around til i can find the most inexpensive combination! :D
