Dragon has revealed their own 1/72 die cast Spitfire:

A Malta Spitfire Vb is nice, but Corgi has already released their own Spitfire Vs. It would have been better if Dragon released late war Spitfires or other variants that no one else has made already. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised, if anyone follows the 1/6th hobby then you would know that Dragon has a habit of making the same figure that another company has made, or announced to make...

I would agree somewhat about the redundancy in product offerings - but, there are many collector's that may concentrate on a minimal number of vendors/manufacturers based upon prefernce, finances, perception of quality .... so, getting some of the same items re-produced by Dragon is not necessarily undesirable.
