i really like it. only the commanders hatch opens. the details are very nice on the commander. the logs make the tank look battle ready. they give you a dog with it dont get that? theres also a log and sandbag emplacement nice to see something new like that. there isnt alot of weathering. i would have liked the KV with the added armor plates better. all in all it was worth the buy

'they' added another picture? I thought you were rezcollectables?
Does the dog have anything on it's back? Maybe it's a russian dog mine. Otherwise i'm not sure of any connection between a dog and a kv-1 tank. It's a early war tank, so no radio, maybe dogs were used to carry messages back and forth to HQ?

Meh, I am not impressed enough to fork over $50+ Now if it was an IS-2 or 3.

It is a little lap dog. Maybe he could be used to blow up a kettenrad or something. I recieved my KV-1 from George at Minutman Soldiers. The tank it self is a nice model capturing the size of the original. The turret and gun operate nicely. The rear turret MG and the bow MG pivot, a detail I like. The commander`s hatch is the only working hatch. It is a nice model with the working features that work. The tracks roll nice but have a tendancy to wander out of the sprockets as you roll it along. The tracks stay on regardless. Nice and worth having. Cant wait for the KV-2.

* Thanks for the update on it TJ. Surprised to learn that it actually has a working rear MG that pivots too. Sounds like a decent piece.

the KV-1 isn't about flashy looks.....it's the history and significance of it that makes it an interesting piece and a must have in any wwii armour collection.
Just read some of the exploits of single or a small handfuls of KV's wiping out entire german columns or holding up enitire divisions for days at a time.

........... there's some interesting historical accounts behind this baby.

* This particular piece just happens to be one of my all-time favorite AFV's.

............ this thing begged to be t@rget practice , especially for the novice enemy tank gunner.

........... still , no matter what , the fact of the matter remains is :
* The T-34/76 & T-34/85 remained superior against most anything at the time.
