TRU Restocking Low Quality Military Action figures Only?

Post by Fritzkrieg » Sat Mar 07, 2009 9:03 am

I noticed the last couple of times, I've gone to TRU, that they seem to restocking the Low end Chap-Mei and Those crapy over scaled Over priced, military figs that Target started carring. I wonder who decides, which lines to cary and which to dump. It seems that the only future for qualty 1:18 lies with FOV Bravo Team and these still are still lacking in some areas. I'm hoping BBI makes, a big come-back with 21st's demise. But the future looks pretty grim, for 1:18 military collectors. What's your take?

those crappy lines may be the future of our hobby, for a while. Fortunately both pte and chap mei have some interesting looking vehicles coming. The figures are still pretty bad though.

I personally hope BBI takes the reins for 1:18 .I have no problem spending a few extra dollars on a product as long as I can see why it costs a bit more. The detail, paint, articulation and accessories on the BBI figures are IMO phenomenal.I understand that the bigger price drives away a lot of non-collectors,but didn't 21C do that for years on 1:18?

You also have forces of valor to serve as an entry point for non collectors. They are poised perfectly to bring a lot of people into this hobby. I hope they don't screw it up. BBi is for those who want to move on to more expensive, more diverse, and more detailed pieces.

I've noticed this, too. New Joe product has been lacking, in general, as of late, too. I am looking forward to the new FOV Special Ops figures.
