BBI Blue Angels Hornet Questions For Those Who Have One

Post by Coreyeagle48 » Wed Mar 04, 2009 9:14 pm

Greetings

I've been debating if I should decal my Hornet with the supplied decals from BBI. I was wondering how good the decals are and if they have held up for people on here. Has anyone clear coated the Hornet as well?

Thanks in advance,

Corey

Yes I used the supplied decals, well they are more like stickers. Just when you put the numbers on the tail, really rub the sticker over the detail. I put a clear coat on mine using Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic spray paint. You can get it at Walmart. The stuff works great, just take your time and don't put the first coat to heavy. It will seal your stickers, and give your F-18 a nice glossy finish.

I bought a BLUE ANGELS 4 years ago used from ebay.

This plane was allready dispalyed and now the decals Stickers begin to curl a little at the edges ... i will have to fix that .

but theses stickers are the name of the pilot under the canopy + tail number ... so it's no big deal, I've heard in the past of some members who were doing nice decals ....

This plane is truly amazing , so sleek looking ! the interesting note is that you can't put the regular F 18 ordonances (the wings and underbelly holes are filled !)

Corey, send your original stikers here:

they will do them as waterslides or vinyl.
