FOV Extreme Metal Tiger 1 second chance

Post by Yoxford » Tue Feb 17, 2009 6:19 am

Second chance for those who missed the boat to pick up Wittmann's Tiger 1 from FOV... the Motor Pool just posted:

Unimax Resurrects the Tiger I Tank
In a move that will unquestionably be viewed in a positive light, Unimax has uncovered a cache of their highly sought after 1:16 scale Michael Wittmann "Final Battle" tank. Originally introduced in 2007, and snatched up by collectors world over literally overnight, the "Final Battle" Wittmann tank is based upon his final mount, which was destroyed at Cintheaux, France in the later summer of 1944. According to the manufacturer, only 50 fifty vehicles will be shipped into the North American marketplace. Considering their rarity and pace at which they were first sold, we expect this new batch will be scooped up at a dizzying rate.

The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.

Here it is . I think the second chance is about $100 more than the first chance. They are selling it for $450.

Wow, at that price you can almost get a Tamiya R/C, or 4 Hen Long tanks.

While impressive, this is another product that is not aimed at my particular demographic...
