The demise of 1/32 vehicles
We've been quite spoiled over the last couple years. It wasn't too long ago the only 1/32 vehicles were New Ray and if you wanted to spend a lot Britains or Frontline. Even though 21st might be history at least FOV and Bravo Team are keeping the 1/32 fire burning.... Let's not forget what BBI has brought to the table in planes.

I think someone will step up to the plate, 1/32 is just too good of a seller to die out completely. If 21st croaks and I don't think they will (optimism here) someone will step in. They were (are) the hands down leaders in the 1/32 prebuilt aircraft arena, if they die you can bet someone will hop right on that pony.
So yes, toy companies watch each other and if one dies they won't feel sorry, they won't cancel their lines too (idiotic) they'll feel elated and see dollar signs.

I think you have it backwards... 1/35th supplamnted 1/32 as the primary armor model scale and there hasn't been any activity in 1/32 armor EXCEPT for the "toy" companies. 1/32 is still a common scale for plastic model planes. Look at the production of Monogram-Revell over the years - masses of 1/32 items. You just have to practice your model skills or find a builder and you will have an unending supply of 1/32 airplanes. The tanks may dry up (unfortunatetly).hworth18 wrote:There will probably always be options for 1/32 armor, its the 1/32 A/C that I am going to miss.

Good thing I like planes.
You have to admit though there is a lot of 1:32 armor out there already, and I think FOV is going to be around for a while yet.
"Why can't we just get along" and have standard across the board scales beyond 1/48 to please everyone. That includes train scales as well.
That hinders us from making giant military dioramas with trains, planes, armor, or even bombed out civilian areas in there combined.

Why can't we mix? My 1/18 vs. your 1/144th? Oops, accidently stepped on your Kampfgruppe Dauntless...Dauntless wrote:Good thing I like planes. You have to admit though there is a lot of 1:32 armor out there already, and I think FOV is going to be around for a while yet.

Speaking of which, has anyone here built either the BF-110C or the Ju88-A by Revell in 1/32? I am considering purchasing one or the other and trying my hand at building again after almost 20 years. I am leaning towards the Ju88, but the BF-110 is cheaper...binder001 wrote:Look at the production of Monogram-Revell over the years - masses of 1/32 items.
