Intresting weapon discovery !!!

Post by General Blasto » Thu Jul 31, 2008 6:32 pm

Today while I was out on Recon, I had picked up a couple of the new GI Joe 2 packs for the use of the head. The pack I talk about is the one with the Russian officer - October Gaurd officer. Well anyway when I opened up the package to extract the Russian, a gun fell out. Much to my surprise it's a PPsh :P :D It is perfect other than being all molded in black and the kicker is the drum magazine is removable 8) I bought only 2 -2 pack and left one, but belive me I'll be lookin' for more  Da General

I'll try to post a picture later tomorrow after painting the stock brown

The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.

yes i bought that pack too......unfortunately the gun is enormous. About 1/14 scale, i have some 1/16 scale ones i got years ago that i will use instead. I bought two of those comic packs and since i'm not going to use them for the guns i decided to sell them on ebay. The figures are pretty large too.....much bigger than 4 inch. Very disappointing all round.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

I liked the figures from that pack... the PPSH gun was a nice bonus as well. I gave the gun to my Indiana Jones Colonel Dovchenko figure and the Red Star figure got the AK-47, as that weapon was more plausible for a 1980s-era Russian soldier

I like the figures from that pack too. The new 25th Anniversary Joe line figures fit in pretty well with other 1/18 figures compared to previous Joe figures. Some of the figures are taller than 4" (6' in scale), but there are alot of people that are taller than 6' out here in the real world and it adds variety to the characters. The weapons don't bother me at all since I replace the majority of them with bbi weapons or Maruader weapons that are more to scale and make more sense for the era the character represents like Tman stated above.
Go Ugly Early in 1/18!!

Still waiting and wishing for a 1/18 A-10 Warthog.

Blasto & Stug,

I saw those sets down around here in Kissimmee as well.....I figure that sooner or later you were going to pick them up to finally added them to your Russian figures.....
The new GI Joe's offer a lot of new items that can very help to customize our 21st figures.

Let me know if and when you guys may want to meet and maybe we can trade and/or share ideas of the hobby together.
