They don't show the different paint jobs on the box, just one version. The Tropical Me-109 represents all ME-109s. It wouldn't be cost effective to do different boxes for each aircraft I'd assume.

That is correct. I recall seeing the new Kepford Corsair in the box that had the picture of the Boyington plane. The Helakala II P-38's box had a picture of the D-Day version on the front. I can see where it could get a little confusing, but its nothing to worry about just as long as you don't start getting FW-190s in ME-109 boxes, or worse!

hey, i saw an m-48 box with a sherman in it!!!

i don't know how they pulled that one off

That misplaced Sherman in a Patton box sure must've looked strange cause the Sherman is much smaller than the Patton.
