Thought this was cool. Here's a link to a download to turn the pointer on your computer into an A-10. There are other icons in the package as well.

I agree............just let the A-10 be the FIRST new modern aircraft we see next.......
Here's a link to a story from last year on the 23rd Fighter Group (Flying Tigers). The importance and versatility of the A-10 is shown once again both in combat, and in humanitarian efforts as well. The accompanying article shares a little bit of the Flying Tiger's legacy. It would be awesome to have a 1/18 A-10 in the 23rd Fighter Group's colors to accompany our P-40 in Flying Tigers livery. More reasons why the A-10 is a must have in 1/18 scale.........

[/quote]"543 Entries for this thread, each on a wish. Keep up the good work men".

I appreciate the enthusiasm, but posts such as "A-10, A-10....(repeat over and over"), and "I want an A-10!!!!" are growing really old. The number of entries and hits on this thread are deceiving. Every time a post of "A-10!" is made, people look to see what's new. Only to find out that nothing is new and in fact nothing was really said.
The Hog fact stuff is good and there should be more of that type of entry.
The bottom line is that the manufacturers have heard what needs to be heard and know there's a keen interest in an A-10. Mission accomplished and good work for that. Really. But the A-10 cause is not being furthered at this point with meaningless posts expressing a continued wish for an A-10, especially when its coming from a very small handfull of people

Funny, no one seemed to get upset everytime the need or want for a Zero was brought up over the years. We're keeping it in one thread and not hijacking other threads. As far as the entries on this thread, I don't see what is so decieving about someone being enthusiastic about a plane they want. As far as the hits go, I think that could be viewed as a testament to the number of people out there that have an interest in a 1/18 A-10 being produced. You don't have to be vocal to want something. We all know that if an A-10 is "officially" released, the news will appear in one of the Direct From the Source threads. It's like Jericoe said, we're here to keep it in the manufacturer's mind. I don't care if they say they KNOW the enthusiasm, need, or whatever for an A-10 from this board, until they quit teasing us and show us without a doubt that they are going to produce a 1/18 scale A-10, I'm going to keep posting in this thread. If the A-10 thread bothers you, you don't have to read it...

Well, I actually liked reading when there were postings of interest. But, trust me, I won't be reading it anymore (not that anyone really gives a damn) because I never know when there are good nuggets of info amongst the fluff. If the A-10 thread bothers you, don't read it...
This concludes my postings on the subject (again, not that anyone gives a damm) so as to not belabor the point.

My appologies if I made you mad. Your post stuck me the wrong way. I certainly don't want you to quit reading the thread if you enjoy it. I just think that if someone wants to voice their wants for something on this board, they shouldn't be made to feel like they are doing something wrong. Both in the F-4's, A-10's, and anyother aircraft or armour's case. This board should be a vocal point for us to express what we desire for our hobby and what we do in our hobby. I hope we see all the aircraft we want done. A little (or alot) of nudging from us here on this board shouldn't hurt.....

I ran across a cool article on the YA-10B (the only one ever built) and how it was used by the U.S. Air Force as a test bed for further development of the A-10. For those interested in the two seat version, here is a link to the forum where the article has been posted. It is the second post by the user named TheBigThug....enjoy.......
