I'm just now seeing the "newer" versions here. Just last night I took a trip to my local W-M and saw the "Brit" P-40.....the Yellow "7"....Marylyn-II P-51.....and the "White-5" Me262. We are slow in my area to "jump on the band-wagon" here. I think if it were'nt for me they probably would'nt get much of a variety in at all. I still have my eyes peeled for "Eileen" but so far one has'nt come in yet. Unless it did and I completely missed out. Maybe not though, I've been pretty "lucky" so far keeping up with all this stuff. "Knock on wood" !

Things look bleak around here, the walmarts in Massapqua and East Meadow only have Fw-190s. The space set aside for 21st Century products is 1 shelve that only holds 4 planes. That was the case at both locations.

If they could somehow 'articulate' the 32X soldiers...I'd be THERE!!!

The only difference are the Germans they have gray helmets instead of whitewashed.

One in the fall SS camo and the other in all gray. They also had more of the US BoB figures. The backing cards on the new figures are the same color as the Marines and the Japanese.

On Sunday I found a walmart I didn't know about, its in Garden City. They had about 40 XD Marines but no other figures. 6 ME-109's black night fighters those were 1/18th 2 of the same in 1/32nd 2 P-47's and a Sky Captain also in 1/32nd. Oh and a 1/18th M-41 Bulldog tank.
I'm looking for the RC Panzer IV  8)

I was at WM in Eureka MO. yesterday afternoon. They had BoB figures, CO-ED Sherman, and M-41 tank. Can't remember which planes they had. Did some shopping before I took my daughter to Six Flags next door.

I was recently in Fort Worth and saw the M-5 Stuart for $75.00. It was the store south of DFW Airport. They had about 12 of them. 8)

Three great finds

Post by mccarthy1028 » Thu Oct 20, 2005 7:01 pm

I found the eagleston and eileen p-47's as well as the FW-190 D9 all in the 21st boxes, not the motorworks WM box. They were all found at the McAllen Texas WM in deep South Texas.

I did not get any more of them Todd. I will be in Fort Worth at Thanksgiving and I could pick one up if you like. I'm also going to check out Admiralty toys while I'm there. And welcome to the forum McCarthy. If you are ever in San Antonio let me know. There are 4 collectors here that I know of and I can introduce you to
them. 8)

Did some traveling last week and picked up a BOB US Halftrack for $15 at the WM in Gaylord MI. Not a huge savings, but enough to make me add to my original S1 Halftrack.

Picked up the Dodge Weapons carrier over the weekend. That now makes 4 trucks in my convoy.

I spotted the RC Panzer and M113 at several WM in the Houston area this weekend. Also found one green tanker, one new open coat german, and both of the Sahara figures at a WM on the east side of Houston. Didn't buy the Sahara figures but they were in a box w/ one set of S1 Marines and one set of S2 Marines. There were two of each figure in the box.

Found some 1:6 M5 Stuarts with 4 figures at Sam's club in Springdale AR for $149.

Also returned a FW190 to the Fayetteville WM (bad paint job) and it pulled up at $15 when they scanned the bar code. Couple weeks ago they had about 7-8 FW190s there and of course I went and looked and they were all gone.

2 of the 1/9 scale rc M1s at the WM in Gates (suburban Rochester) NY today. Looked sort of interesting from what I could see (they were up on high shelf), but I don't plan to buy one unless on clearance.
