Yeah, does give new meaning to the term "pocket carrier"... And I thought parking the Skystriker on the USS Flagg looked a wee bit out of proportion!

Maybe if you mount the carrier to the wall, it would make a good shelf for a display.

Get the discription this guy puts on the F-104. I did not know that the Nazi had an airforce AFTER WW2! Ignorance is bliss. Should email the guy and correct his error.

Or a delusional bidder (several, actually)... Now, if the "crew chief" from the Stuka post above were involved in this one, I might just understand

I did not know that customs generated so much demand.

That seems to be the case. So if you have any modeling talents and want to share your customized products with others, offering them on EBAY seems to be a profitable venture. :D

I think I would be a little scared to sell any of mine. My idea of a cool paint job might differ from someone else’s; especially when the price starts to really get up there.

Toyktdlgh,
Just throw a little mud on it and call it "customized"

Mud works great for land vehicles. Not too great for the planes though.

Oh boy…

Who needs an airbrush when you have good old fashioned Mother Nature providing you with mud? Just how pissed do you think a buyer would be when he gets his new “customized” halftrack home and realizes the previous owner spent hours painstakingly applying genuine dirt to it.

But wouldn't that be going for the ultimate in realism? ;)

Right up there with the line I see on a lot of websites and ebay descriptions: "with real moving parts" (as opposed to? Fake moving parts?)...

Well, I think ultimate realism is cool as long as it doesn’t wash off. Would hate to dust it and loose all of that patina.

Maybe if it was mixed with some kind of clear coat or maybe if it was sealed somehow?

Pretty good deal if you can't find 'em in your AO

he probably got one of the $15 ones and is going for a quick profit. Nice price but i worry about these deep WM discounts.

I'll probablyhave to return both of my Avengers that I paid full price for and try and rebuy them at some of the discounted prices. Only trouble is, none of the WM's in my AO ever carried them. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll discount the planes I return and then I can rebuy them.

Does Walmart have a policy that if they put something on sale within a certain timeframe from your purchase, they refund the difference? Some of the larger chains around this area have a policy for this within 30 days, assuming you have your receipt.

I think they do have such a policy, but if the store you are returning the items to don't have that particular item on sale they will not refund the difference. Remember that not all WM's put the same items on sale. Therefore, the item will scan in at the price paid for as shown on the receipt.
