I am concerned by the photos you posted of the Firefly and the Mustang. The wheels on the Firefly look slight out of adjustment and the canopy on the Mustang appeaers to need a little tweeking. You should send them to me and I will see if I can straighten them out. I should be able to get them back to you in about 15 years.... Nice find.

Let me guess.....you went in on recon and had to go back to the front of the store to get a cart. All the while your wife/girlfriend rolls her eyes.
Been there, done that

Nice figures. I really don't care for the Bullfrog scheme P-51 and I like my Camo Firefly better so I'm not too jealous!:P
I look forward to seeing any 21st product at TRU.

I agree with Rowsdower on the new Firefly scheme. The one that comes with the playset is better. The new tank, however, has more weathering and comes with the two figures to boot!

Awesome haul, Ray. Thanks for posting pictures of them all.
While I'm not surprised to see that they went ahead and released the Firefly on its own, I think I'll stick with the playset - the figures look awesome (the ones with the standalone don't look like they'd fit in the hatches) and the paint scheme looks better.

JeEZ! You are one lucky son of a bit...ty.

How come you get the figs? They look incredible but I can't even find them on eBay...

No, they won't fit in the hatches.

The figs with the Firefly are nice but I wish they would once again include at least a commander that fits in the hatch with the tanks.
I'm gonna check out my TRU again on Monday. I better remember to take my meds so I don't go berserk if I find no 21st goodies!

Agreed on the Sherman (and the finding no 21c goodies - I expect you'll have more luck than me

). With the Sherman Firefly I got in the Operation Cobra set, I actually wound up using two extra M7 Priest crew figures that I had after I recrewed the Priest with the "infantry" figures from the US listening post playsets. The Priest figures just looked more "British" to me, save that they're not wearing berets as a Brit tank crew would have done. The Priest driver figure fit quite well into the driver's hatch on the Sherman; the loader figure fits into the turret and stands in the commander's hatch well enough, though I had to use hot water to bend the right arm in

It seems to me the crew for the Firefly is all wrong anyways. The Firefly is British(17pdr gun, Brit markings), so the figures should have black barets or British style tanker helmets...

One could always stick an FOV WWII British tanker figure in the Firefly. Either the one that came with the Matilda or the M3 Grant. They're in a more desert khaki color, but it works
Correct or not, I was pleased that the new Shermans even had figures, what with the recent 21c trend of not including them.

I agree. I will have to see about converting some extra figures into tankers.

You know I've never really wanted a 262 model but that scheme has caught my attention.

Got to finally have my own TRU haul today
This was at the Visalia TRU, 40 miles south of my town and not a place I regularly visit, but considering the new finds and lack of 21c products in the Fresno area, I couldn't resist
Apart from the 1:18 Pak-40 Hanomag and figures, I picked up the 32x Italian infantry and the "Bullfrog" P-51. I like the paintscheme on the ME-262, but the aircraft mould is so outdated that I really don't need another. The new 32x DAK figures looked good as well, but I wasn't overly wowed by them to warrant a purchase. They had only 1 each of the P-51 and ME-262. There were no Shermans.
The P-51 was not in the system, but the cashiers were very nice and able to work out the problem. Such a better experience than at Wal Mart

Hmm I didn't think about the 262 using the old mould, bleh.
