Sweet! But I don't pre-order anything anymore. Been burned too many times with toys, game consoles, games, music, etc etc. Once it is out and we get hands-on reviews then I'll be on it. I have no room for it but I love the Hellcat so much I'd even be happy with it in the box.

Didn't Mike kind of hint that the Hellcat would be out in June?

Maybe he was intimating that they were likely to be on the boat sometime in June. Or perhaps that production would be at full tilt in June, which would put them on the boat by July, and to Bad Cat by August.
But the way I read Bad Cat's announcement, I don't think it precludes a different paint scheme from coming first (Not that BBi has really ever gone with two schemes at the same time). The first master models Mike showed way back when were of a different plane.

I would also like to get two.

Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Let me hear your guns!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

I think it we be a nice piece, with basic features (sliding canopy, working landing gear, removable drop tank, and folding wings). Knowing bbi, it will also have a very well-done figure (to me, the figures that come with their airplanes are almost as cool as the planes themselves!).

I hope BBI will send the first one to Mr Vraciu as a gift.

I am sure the Hellcat will come with the same pilot the Corsair has. That is good news, as the Corsair pilot is as good as they get in my opinion.

Maybe you're right. I'd rather see a new figure, but if they used the Corsair figure for the Hellcat that wouldn't be such a bad thing.

Actually, they could simply reuse the body and put on a different head, as well as change a few minor paint details. A new figure for no cost

Maybe it will be out in brick and mortar stores in June, then Online a bit later. After all, the Corsair was in TRU long before it was online. Same with the recent S7 Mustang.

Well, the ad from Bad Cat this morning indicates that they ponied up for the first allotment, and this one is the very first version.
So what Mike meant by June is still up for debate. My bet is that was when they would be starting full blown production.

I like that thought, tman!
