quistion on panzer type
quistion on panzer type
Anyone know what the difference is on the panzer 4 and 3 tanks I still havent figured it out and i was wanting to know
there is no 1/18 panzer III yet. There is however, a 1/16 scale r/c panzer III.
The Panzer IV was basically a lengthened panzer III, with 8 road wheels per side instead of the six on the Panzer III. Note however that the P III's road wheels were larger, so the overall lengthening was only something like a foot and a half or so.
Initially the PIII was intended for anti tank duties whereas the PIV was for infantry support and their respective armaments reflected their roles. In time the PIV was upgraded with a long barreled 75mm anti tank gun and became the most numerous of the German tanks of the war and was used primarily in the anti tank combat role.
The PIII was phased out but the chasis was used for the Stug III which was used in large numbers throughout the war.

We can only wish. But Forces of Valor makes some awesome 1:32 Stug III's. The Stug series have always been my favorite German WWII armor, with the PZ IV coming in second.V2 MAN wrote:Thanks aferguson Would it be cool if 21st century came out with a 1/18 stug tank

21c also makes some nice 1:32 Panzer IIIs, and the Stug IV as well. My favorite German tank, however, is the JagdpantherRowsdower wrote:We can only wish.
