Pictures of New Dragon 1/72 Warbird F-14 Tomcat
if in fact that paint scheme holds true, through to the actual released pieces, I'll not be buying any. I still think that the Revell of Germany F-14's are by far the best offerings, unfortunately their price tags have recently gone up (locally anyways) to $45.00+, but if you want an accurate tom kitty, they're the way to go..at least untill future Dragon schemes are released.
Just a follow-up opinion - an understand that I am an avid Dragon collector.
But, I was genuinely interested in collecting some of the Revell pieces and between viewing the items and discussing the differences between both manufacturers with various hobby retailers, I don't think that Revell's quality is on par with the Dragon line - price aside. I was actually a lil' disappointed because I wanted to collect some items other than Dragon and was hopeful about Revell, especially with regards to the Tornado.

Revell
I have Revell's Tornado and Tom Cat.
The Tornado was OK except you had to be very careful attaching the weapon loads (also wobbly).
I really liked the Tomcat and will buy another as the swept wing action was very solid and not loose.
The surface detail and paint job was pretty good.
The fixed landing gear, packaging and those crummy stands are definitely on the negative side.
