Thanks guys its nice to hear the support. Like Birddog said it gets frustrating hearing one thing and then seeing another. Inside I have to admit I really am looking forward to the B-25 as well it will look great being escorted by a P-38 or Mustang.

Didn't they make a A-10 that transfoms into a B-25 ? OK I will stop. I was on a roll.

I got no room for this big stuff so the B-25 gets a big "meh" from me. The Hellcat will pretty much be the last aircraft I can fit in here. Give me some more armor!

Guys,

Patience is a virtue, and today's announcement is just a signal to hold tight a bit longer. I would not have expected 21st to pull out two large planes in such short order, I figured we were a couple months away from maybe another $40 price point plane such as P-51B. Of course one announcement was a bit too premature (a plane I doubt we'll see in under two years), but the B-25 was clearly planned for now.

I think the mistake is to get jumpy over the A-10. It will happen, but one of the manufacturers had a shot across their bow, so it is not something that will come out of the blue. In fact, I highly suspect that when it is ready to be shipped to stores is when we'll get it, because it is clear that no one wants to tip their hand on it...it is not a plane that will sell well from two different manufacturers.

Sure would like to see an A-10. I suspect it will sell better than people think. (I mean other people, since we want to see it produced)

my two cents,

they know we want it, they know we will buy it, they know some of us will buy multiple paints...

i feel they shouldnt rush it, or bow in to us. we can wait. if it means more R&D time for them..so be it. i feel that if/when it gets released, they are making sure it was done RIGHT, not "lets just toss em a crappy A-10..besides,who wil notice the subtle differences and corner cutting cheapness anyways".

you can have it now, and then complain of the material/craftsmanship.....or you can have it later, and behold a jewel.

They showed that prototype what, 4-5 years ago? With all that time for development, the A-10 better be the GREATEST 1/18 aircraft ever produced. :D

The only photo of the prototype is on the first page of this thread about mid-way through.

Well I may be banned from the board but count me in for an A-10 as well.
I always liked this aircraft even when it was considered somewhat of a redheaded step child by the Air Force. I was glad to see it make a good showing for itself in the desert. One thing that I could never figure out was why the Marines didn't pick it up since they are so dedicated to close air support.

I support you A-10 guys 100%. And I also feel your pain, well I did anyway and still do. For a long time I was hoping and begging for an F6F Hellcat and BBI has answered the call. I can imagin how frusterated you guys are over seeing a B-25 getting made and not an A-10. I would be if I were in your shoes. Me? I'm passing on the B-25 for various reasons but one is because I'm saving the little room I have for my Hellcat plus I'm saving space for the Mustangs Old Crow And BBD and the Dauntless. After that I will have to cut back in a major way. But back to you guys and your quest to see the A-10 made. Hang in their guys because I think it will be done and I think it will be done by BBI since the 2 other power houses dont seem to want to touch it. Why? I wish I knew. But hang in there. I'm supporting you guys all the way.

USMC travel by boat. What kind? air boat or house boat? Marine Air doesn't just launch missions from ships, and every AC in Marine inventory doesn't have folding wings and a tail hook. Now I may be wrong but I don't think that everything that is now deployed overseas got there by boat.
What I said was only my opinion, and you know what they say about that
