Did TKO ever give us confirmation that the tanker's helmet comes off?

Not yet. I bet it doesn't.

Also take note that the first guy deosn't include any loose headgear for the installed head.

That might be a sign that the helmets are removable? Doesn't make any sense to have a guy without a lid. Perhaps they neglected or forgot to put his topper in the bubble before the photo.

If you look that BOB tankers, there is generally some paint overage on the helmet or in the crease between the helmet and the face. Doesn't appear to be so on this guy..

I really don't know about the tankers helmet. I will have to run that one past 21c. the other 2 tankers are going up tomorrow afternoon. We will then spice things up a bit over the weekend with some DAK germans for everyone!

Figs are figs... Some you love, some not so much. at 5.00 a pop they are all good in my book. As someone else already pointed out- We should see more diversity in the future. Remember that the majority of this line is aimed at your basic army builders. Which in my opinon is a good thing. But for everyone else who might not see things my way, well just hang in there. 21st still has some tricks up the sleeve... They always do!

Very nice work on the two new US Tankers. Great to see more added to the Sherman tank.

Be even nicer to see More various German Panzer crewmen (different faces) after all there are More panzers out there.

WOW we`re being teased arn`t we having to wait to see these DAK (2 wasn`t it) though HAHAHA
I`m just hoping maybe, just maybe we could still see a British solider/Paratrooper in this lineup of upcoming figures.

Again Nice work with the US Tankers.

These guys are neat and I can see me buying some to fill out my Sherman crews. And, more German tankers are welcome too. However, I say bring on the DAK!

On a side note, I really enjoy just imagining the vehichles 21st could come out with as companions for these figures.

Do the heads for this new series fit the bodies of the previous? Especially the German soldiers, will I be able to swap heads with the different figures?

heads

Post by digger » Thu Nov 02, 2006 8:56 am

I'd bet that as usual it depends on which heads you are trying to switch with, but there will surely be some that work. Seems these guys have the long necks which will work better with BoB I & II, and the USMC. A little shave on the "bulb" of the S1 should work too.

I see removable hats, binocular case and some form of large paperwork!! :D Very cool.

Love the guy with goggles in the "on" position. 8)

Nice figures - I'll be PICKING UP up the tank gunner figures for the shells!

The tank commander looks great.

The second tanker, "Preacher" sort of looks like Dan Aykroyd in the movie 1941.

When I talk about swapping heads, my main concern is the German soldiers. The new German soldiers look pretty cool. With this, I'd like to take the heads off some of the older German soldiers that I have and apply them to the newer figures. TKO, can you comment?

I like the next 2 US Tankers.
is it me or does the Bino case look like the top comes off?

The addition of paperwork is sweet too on the Cmdr figure.

So TKO we being treated to the rest of the run or will there be a gap to prolong the teasing :D LOL

Again THANK`S for showing us all these figures.

I can't believe that they put 4 US tankers in only one wave. And I can't believe this 18 figure wave will consist of 12 US figures and only 6 germans.
I'm sorry to be so negative guys, but I'm really disapointed about it. I hope I can find 10-12 of this figures seperatly and I don't have to buy the entire wave. Some of these figures are pretty lame rehaches. 1-2 US tankers with removable helmets and different heads would have been enough to army-build - but 4 of these guys and not 1 german tanker - I don't get it. Alright, we already got some good german tankers, but the drivers are all in winter gear. I would have been thankfull for a german tanker in black uniform without gloves.

Cos they're working on a 1/18th Firefly-class transport from the tv series by Joss Whedon? :? :?

A M7 Priest Tank would be welcome. It is time for a sencond US tank.
I think they doing the same thing with the figures right now, that they have done with the halftracks. Some slight modifications and heavy use of existing molds - which is fine with me. But I'm really shocked about this selection of figures.
I'm looking forward to see the DAK figures tomorrow.

lol Jeff! :D

That showed rocked and it's a freakin crime that it was cancelled!

Aferg, great point.. Seems pretty suspicious especially since wave I and wave II of the BOB sets both had US Tankers as well so there is clearly not a drought out there.
