Ok 1:18 scale guys and gals, I have had a lot of information for the 1:72 scale members. Well, just for you, here are two photos of the new and improved ME 262. We put this one back into development to change a few subtle details. Here are photos of a finished production sample. This means that all the ends and outs have been ironed out and all of these birds are almost done with production. They should be on a boat in the next couple of weeks. So I hope you like what you see. We will have more photos up on our website and I will post a couple more here later this evening.

We think the ME 262 turned out great. We know you will not be disappointed with this model.

To answer a few questions you may have about the photos:
1. Yes, that is a parachute beside the pilot. It is removable.
2. The slats, flaps, rudder, stabilizers, canopy, gun doors, landing gear all work on the aircraft.
3. Yes, the antenna will come with your aircraft.

Hope you enjoy. I know I never get sick of looking at it.

Wow that's nice! It looks to be on par with anything currently offered by the competition, and the figure is a great improvement! I'm really glad I've got mine on preorder from a small retailer and eagerly await the plane! The paintscheme is cool as well.

My personal opinion why I buy 1/18, basically the size, model subject and details, and works with all the other 1/18 stuff I have.

Why I snub other scales is there is so much other stuff out there, ie 1/72 diecast, tons of model kits etc... same goes for 1/48, 1/32.

So the point being, and I'm likely not the only one to feel this way, ANY new and stunning item in 1/18 land is going to be snapped up like free pancakes at IHOP. As new items are in high demand for 1/18.

that would be a super entry model into 1/18.

Hope you like what you see. Admiral Toys is excited about offering tanks that have never been produced before in 1:72. There are enough King Tigers, why not give the lesser known tanks a chance.

Exactly... read for 1/18 products tanks /planes/ vehicles/ etc... as well.

Love that $10-15 dollar post

Jason I have a few questions about businesses opening and moving production factories to communist China?

What are the political risks in having a factory in China?

I guess what I am saying is China is a communist government, that is experimenting with “Market Socialism”. Not unlike what the USSR did in the 1920’s under Lenin, Under “Market Socialism” Lenin allowed outside businesses and investors to come in the USSR.

However Lenin died and Stalin became the head of the USSR, and did away with “Market Socialism”.

Also Jason what prevents China from doing the same thing?

Also what would happen if the Chinese and United States government relations went sour due to Twain or North Korean issues?

One last thing a friend of mine just got back from China on a business trip. The company he is working for is trying to move its production operations to main-land China.

One thing he said to me was troubling, the Chinese government official that was working with his team said that the Chinese government was not responsible if the communist party leaders changed their policy towards outside investors and production faculties operating in China.

That bothers him a bit and me too. I guess with out risk their is no gain.

Pokeyjtc and Doctodd, unfortunately the 262 will not be for sale at the Wings Over Houston Airshow. We will have a production sample there for your viewing. Bring you camera again and you can take some photos.

VMF115, I apologize for our lack of communication regarding new releases. Every time we release information about a model someone comes from behind and makes the same model. Showing our hand allows for the competition to add details that we did not provide or improve the model in certain ways. I promise we could make the best P-51 or F-4U imaginable if we had 3 months to look at the competition’s model before ours went into tooling. It is very, very easy to improve a model that is already on market or talked about. The days of forecasting models and their details are over. Do not blame our company; we tried to get cooperation between the manufacturers. You will have to wait for information, unless someone produces a model we intended to produce; then you will see information regarding our model.

On your second question: “Without risk there is no gain.” You said it yourself and it is correct. However, the risk is not that high. If you go to China and see how their economy is thriving because of their international contracts, you too would find comfort in the fact that China is very happy with there foreign relationships. China works very closely with the US and other countries in the manufacturing sector. We have seen no rumblings of policy change. We could afford to produce these models in the US but the average customer would not be able to afford it. So we need China and this market needs China.

The New York Toy Fair should be fun. Unfortunately you will receive no news until then. However, you will see a repaint here and there before NYTF.

We are working on some things in other scales. The 1:18 scale is not ignored, but slow at this time.
