Thoughts about spam registrations
I assume phpBB (at least the latest version of the software) has an email-based registration/confirmation requirement that also incorporates a captcha challege. I suggest implementing this A.S.A.P. and your spam registrations will go away 100%. Admins feel free to PM me for further info.
