Remember when we said the same about Japanese toys. And then they became a huge world leader in producing everthing, except for pop tarts and porno...EDIT- OH wait now I understand why its such a peica ****.. under the left wing there is a small sticker that reads 'made in china'
Now the Japanese are having their stuff made in China and Taiwan as well.
And China will emerge as a world economic force soon.
Maybe the screw covers will be available per request until second production run. Dave
They have them in the OKC area. They are actuallty hard to find as I walked around the toy section in Walmart for a while. They were stacked two by two (four total) in the main aile between the sporting goods and electronics. I thought that was an odd place for them to be placed. They snuck up on me because you wouldn't expect them to be there. I thought that perhaps it was some sort of mirage. I guess the boxes are too big to place next to the rest of the other 21st Century stuff. I have no complaints with it so far.
Almost every model kit for all scales out there is made in China. An interesting side note is that there are many unproduced models out there because the Chinese can not read our instructions. Just thought that I would add to that. I do not care where the 1:18 scale is produced as long as it is still being produced.

Wow! These have moved across the country fast, and in such great numbers. Now I know where mine went
The screw holes are a serious drop in quality for 21c, especially the ones on the side of the fuselage. At least with the Atlantic paintscheme, they can be corrected rather easily with putty, white and gray paint as opposed to having to match a certain shade of blue.

The FS (Federal Standard) colors used on the Atlantic Avengers' exterior were:

I actually drilled a hole in the pre designated point on the plane. It looks great at the 45 degree angle. I just used the smallest black & decker mm drill bit that they have at Wal-Mart and the wing edge looks nice tapered around the antenna. No gaps showing at all. An the antenna, cut the t section rivit part of the anteena so that it looks flat and just place it in with some glue.
I say no one should complain about the Avenger.
No one complains about the BBI F/A-18... In my opinon that is a piece of (...) as catman stated, why? because look at it's turbines, and the landing gear is very cheaply done. The turbines mostly, what kind of idiot puts a damn prop in there?!
Yes the Avenger has screw holes, but thats nothing compared to the F-18, the Avenger only has one tiny flaw as I see it. also, dont forget it is huge and it cost more to produce, so naturaly it will be a bit less detailed.

Hey all.......this is the former (CW4USARMY). My account was locked
up somehow so Ive had to rejoin under this new name. Moved to Fort Monroe last month so have been out of the loop, but am completely excited about seeing the Avenger sightings posted. Only bad thing is I now live on the east coast and the sightings seem to be west of the mississippi, but thats OK, just glad they are finally here. Glad to be back in the forums and in the hunt!

On a whim, I decided to take my son on the 1.5 hour roundtrip to "the middle of nowhere", three hours before his birthday party where I found 0 Avengers, a dumbfounded clerk and a couch to sleep on when I got home...warhawker wrote:Just to give you guys a geographical reference, Gainsville, Tx is South of the Oklahoma/Texas border in North Texas. It is 'middle of nowhere' but on major I-35 highway that runs North to South.Gainsville TX (middle of nowhere).
I did see the WALMART distribution center right next to the adult video store. I'm sure they make a lot of money from those truckers.
