Poll: New XD armor choice

Post by ostketten » Sat May 27, 2006 2:29 pm

OK, if you had to choose just one country for new XD armor models from the following four, which would it be?? Italy, Russia, Japan, or Great Britain. I am thinking primarily WWII, but I suppose we can include modern for anyone who wants it.

Deffinitely Russian, as we need something to combat all the German armor in Eastern Front cammo schemes. A British Matilda, Churchill, or Cromwell would be cool, too. I would say that I would want a Japanese tank (like a Type 95) but Japanese armor was such a non-factor during the Pacific theater that it really doesn't matter.

A T-34 with a Russian squad would be sweet!! I can see it now a T-34 with troops sitting on it alonside the bombed out bank building with a German troop on the other side of the wall. This is straight from Duxford.

The tank is now missing the infantryman on the back. You can't see the SS trooper behind a ruin that the tank commander is pointing to.

They also have the StuG III that was recovered from Finland on display. Back in 1999 or so, I was honored to see it being driven around during one of the airshows there, complete with a German helmet hanging from a light. Amazing!!

Actually, the infantryman is still there. Here you can see the whole diorama.

I'll go with Russian in this poll.I think it would be the next step if 21st wants to keep the WWII line going. I agree a T-34 would be cool and on the same chassis an SU-100.
Poll aside my first intrest is German armor. Wheres my King Tiger????

For this poll I intentionally left out German armor, it's not that I have anything against German armor or anything, but it is already quite well represented, and I personally would like to see something different for a change.

I think you guys might want to add the German and American options back in.

Just a hunch!... I don't have the details but I am told that the new projects are VERY cool, and that to most will come as unexpected.? Whatever that means.

Can't wait to see. 8)

I chose Italy, but British would work too. As long as the tank is applicable to North Africa, I'm happy. Heck, a 1/18 Panzer III would also be pretty sweet.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.

Do I smell King Kitty? 8)

I'd like a T-34, but I can settle for either of the KT turret versions.........or/and anything else German/USA/Russian. Scout Car? M-24??? M-16 Half-track?????
