Certainly looks better, but won't fit.

Had the desert Stuka for awhile but had not put the pilot and gunner in. Took my Dremel and ground off their collars and repainted their uniforms in a desert sand or yellow color. Looks more like a tropical type suit. Very satisfied with the results but the pilots head will not let the canopy close. Haven't had that problem with my other Stukas. Think I'll just leave the canopy open as opposed to grinding his butt off.

I had the same trouble with the Dodge Truck and the figures that won't fit in it. Someone said that's because the truck would be 'off scale' to let the figures fit in it...or was it, the figures would be 'off scale' to let them fit in it...but everything's 1:18...still can't understand why you have vehicles but no drivers or riders...and now the plane...

Isn't the new Stuka the same mold as the original? Why shouldn't the pilots fit? Try moving their leg articulation to see if it will help.

It's a bit of a chore, but with some wrangling and finagling you can get the pilot to sit low enough to allow the canopy to easily slide shut.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.

The pilots fit within both my Stukas (including the new desert one) just fine. I get the legs correctly positioned and then push them down in the seat, with a slight lean backwards. It's a very tight clearance, but the canopy on my plane opens and closes easily.
