Would you be interested in Civil War Equipment?
Over on Joecustoms, they have a running thread about suggestions for future releases of Marauder guns (very nice 1/18 weapons). I got thinking, and suggested it over there (although I don't expect much interest) - how about Civil War equipment? Its one thing to customize a figure. I'm not too interested in having to make muskets and such. So, anyone else interested?

Anyone still have a link to photos of these? If I remember correctly, they were a lot like the Papo Civil War figures. I haven't seen any of the WoW figures, but if they are cast in soft plastic like the Papo, the weapons is the weakest link on the figures. I've been wanting to replace the Papo muskets for a long time.aferguson wrote:i think BBI is coming out with a civil war line in their Warriors of the World series. It was shown at the Fall toy show, anyway...

I'd get decent Civil War figures & equipment if they were made. I'd love ones with at least some articulation and authenticity. I sort of have a personal connection (as my great-great grandfather fought for the Union and was wounded at the battle of Stone's River, Tenn. in 1862), so I would certainly be for them.

I'd be all over a 1:18 articulated (that's the key though for me) Civil War line... I won't budge on statues, but poseable figures from BBI or anyone else would be appreciated...
Without figures, I have no interest in gear... I voted accordingly.

Well for me I Say "BRING IT ALL ON". Moreso as i`ve been slowly making US Civil War(Union & Confederate)/Indian War Cavalry figures some time. Had to sculpt the Carbines myself, swords is something I`ve not really done yet as it`s a slow ongoing project.
So someone to make the pistols, carbines, rifles,Swords etc would be bloody awesome

puff the magic Artillery dragon
So far I'm WWII all the way but If some articulated accurate WWI and civil war came out - I may be in trouble.
I'd love to see Artillery in 1;18 - that would be a great start
Artillery crew with the ability to limber everything -
BBI could have a series of opposing sides in artillery duels. beginning with Sumter.
I's buy a 1:18 ironClad for my son. accurate playset - how could would that be.
But I would also rather see WWII Artillery units. Wake up dragon!!
Wake Up 21st century. BBI ...i'm not completely sold ontheir figures.

Hey SB... why US Civil War figures? What about the English Civil War? That was a very important conflict as far as cementing the ideas of individual rights and representative government (ie what becomes Western Democracy) in the English political system. Some figures representing the Cavaliers of King Charles I or Cromwell's New Model Army would be interesting. There could even be a Charles I action figure with removable headsteelbonnet wrote:Well for me I Say "BRING IT ALL ON".
