Sahara series dropped
I was told that the 1/18 Sahara series will not be released,..by a forum member who had enquired about the anticipated release to 21st.'s Customer Service about some parts,..and during this conversation,..that's what the Rep., said. ...As for the release and cancellation ? .....That's a mystery.

Its too bad they dropped the line beyond the two 1:18 figures and the 1:6 Jeep, however, its a decision that makes sense. The film, Sahara was never a blockbuster and has since been largely forgotten by the general public. It was out on DVD months ago and in theaters long before that. To go through the effort of releasing a tank, an APC, a jeep and a helicopter (even if only repaints) to a market where they will mostly be unrecognized and gather dust, would be a bad business decision. Sure a few of us would be excited upon finding them at Wal Mart, but that would wear off and the products would probably not move. 21c's efforts need to be focused elsewhere.
