Modern German KSK 4 man Desert Team

Post by steelbonnet » Sat Feb 25, 2006 10:11 am

Hi all,

Well just finished these bad boys off :D They all have working holsters with Intoyz HK USP pistols in them.

As you will see these guys are in Desert Flecktarn which is called Tropentarn.

As you will/Will not know. GSG9 is a Police Special Forces Counter terrorist team. KSK however is Germany`s premier MILITARY Special Forces for International terrorist affairs where German civilians/interests are at stake. They like GSG9 have had teachings-Combined Ops with UK & US Special Forces & In Afghanistan also with Australian SASR.

Well to the figures.

First here`s a Photo of German Tropentarn.

Well Done :D
The Camo is excellent. I recognize the Chap Mei dude with the shades. He is a great modern headsculpt. That's some fine bashing. 8)

Thank`s very much Digger for the kind words :D

Must admit I`m pretty chuffed with the Tropentarn here :D
Took ages to do,Used a thin Paperclip I straightened out & did the dotty camo, what a chore......LOL Though I think Well worth it in the end :D

The best part though was how easy it was to adapt the PTE Desert figure (parts of) to look like Tropentarn :D

Again Thank`s :D

Thank`s again Tomd. The straps for the thigh pouches/Holsters are both Black Ribbon & black elastic taken from 1/6th weapons (used as slings).

The add to the figure for realism & they don`t hinder in the figures articulation either :D

Again mate Thank`s :D

Steel,
I always like your creativity and your international forces approach.
great job!
I always think that there are many other great armies out there which also do their great share on the war on terror and other conflicts.

Thank`s very much mate & I totally agree with you & In my own way I am trying to Honour all those Brave souls who DO have there Lives on the line in the fight against Terror.

I`ve got an abundance of US SpecOps & troops & also hardware. I`m doing rather well with my British contingency (well have to make sure my own Nation is well covered don`t I :D ) & the German Forces have played a Huge part in Afghanistan.
Plus I just love Flecktarn & Tropentarn camo & the G36 & there fighting spirit, even if the last 50 years has had that somewhat kept on the QT. Germany has a Long & Proud Military History so are Just deserving of attention.

My next Nation is Australia,I`m doing a team of SASR & a 6 wheel Landie for them :D

Also Plan on doing some GROM too. After that not sure BUT will be doing more.

Again Thank`s Ranger :D

I would like to do some 1/6 Spanish soldiers....any ideas?

Ghurka`s are on the cards Ranger. Have to do Ghurka`s. Actully have a few VC heads so may give those a go as Napal heads.

As for the Spanish, your right all Nations who took part even if they have pulled out still deserve recognition for there work & there forces lives being put on the line & alas lost in the course of the War on Terror.

As for 1/6th Spanish, well there camo is like a lot of nations now a US BDU derivitive IMO,so maybe SOTW or HASBRO Woodland camo (as there both different to DML,BBI Woodland) uniforms & covered FRITZ helmet & arm them with Armoury either DML G36.
The webbing though, think that`s going to be your choice of a Brand type or maybe make your own using said material from Hasbro/SOTW.

Just an idea.

Thank`s very much for the really kind words :D

Kenhil2 & blaster_e11,

LOL Yea they do kind of look Angry.....LOL Though they are consummate professionals :D Again thank`s & hopefully not the last German Spec Forces you`ll see :D
As for BBI,PTE,21st etc. Some I can find within the UK though also a lot from ebay & the Great guys here & on various other sites too for there kind help.
For instance the BBI Targat figures I`d not have gotten the full set without help from the guys in the US.

Again Thank`s for all the kind words :D Much appreciated.

Still trying to find a cheap Merc Benz G500 wagon though to customize & give my KSK a an Armoured WOLF.
