In fact I've had it for over a decade...lol. It's made by Power Team and came as an accessory in some Powerteam set I bought...I think it was the bridge playset. I didn't think it was anything real and just tossed it in the accessories bin and forgot about it. It's not bad, no glass in the windshield but otherwise pretty accurate in shape and size.
I may have just discovered my sling load for my Blackhawk. Were M151's used in Desert Storm?

Didn't Humvees replace the M151 before that?

What makes the P-51 Mustang so special?

We used the M151A2 1/4 Ton Utility Truck when I was an MP at Fort Polk in 1983-84 and during the Reforger 84 exercises we used them. When the first gulf war kicked off I was in a field artillery unit training at Fort Bragg and don’t remember seeing any “mutts”, our battery had hummers by then as section trucks for the FDC’s.

thanks for the info. I discovered that the Marines did use M151's during the first Gulf War. They were painted sand and usually carried several tow anti tank missiles. Somewhat reminiscent of the SAS jeeps in North Africa during WWII, But otherwise there were no M151's used by US forces .

The Marines have been getting the hand-me-downs since before WWII. Some things never change......

Speaking of the marines, I had a sergeant in Germany, mid 80’s who served with the marines at the end of the Vietnam war and after his time was up, joined the army. I asked why? He said because the army always had new equipment and the marines got the leftovers. He said if he was in another war he wanted new stuff
