Very nice work Matt, cockpits are one of my favorite parts of a build.

There sure is a lot of work in them and I get to do it 16 more times .
The dail faces are in and this is how the production cockpits will be.
i am not sure what you will see once it is in the fuse with pilot and WSO in place.

Re: 1/18th Scale Mi-24 Hind In Production !
Hey Guys ,
Looking back to 2018 it was the worst year ever for my work.
Making toys and selling off some of my helmets got us through the year.
At the start of holidays I took on some projects hoping to make quick money.
That did not work out so well.
The quick part anyway.
I would say I have about 3-4 weeks to finish these projects .
Then I will be able to get back on the full builds .
I have tried to do a couple hours here or there , but that does not work.
I need total days to get anything done .
I hope this does not pizz anybody off but I had to do what I had to do in order to pay bills.
In the mean time I have been able to put in a few hours here and there to finish off a couple of projects to garner more money hopefully.

Re: 1/18th Scale Mi-24 Hind In Production !
Thanks guys for understanding.
I got roped into doing a 1/48 scale tug boat that I need to finish with the possibility of having to make 6 more.
That actually is a good thing because the money is there.
I have given them a finish date of March 31th or sooner .
After that date I will be jumping on the HIND with booth feet.
My wife is the artsy fartsy type ( I have been accused of this as well) and I will have here take on the finish of the cockpit details so I can work on other things .
That is good because from start to finish I have about 3 days into the paint master and I have 16-17 to do .
That should take about 51 days off the top of the project.
I am thinking of posting the Tug boat on the Off Topic Forum .
That will be kind of a timer until I start back on the HIND .
Unless this is going to pizz you guys off .
Let me know from you full build guys if you do/ do not want me to do this.

Would be interested to have a look at this tug boat, even if it's not exactly 1/18th scale... you do so wonderful models.
Re: 1/18th Scale Mi-24 Hind In Production !
I’m ok too. Thanks for the update.

Any new updates?
A helicopter does not want to fly, it just vibrates so much that the ground rejects it

Re: 1/18th Scale Mi-24 Hind In Production !
I would say that the tug boat is about 95% done.
I believe that I have 7 actual days to finish.
That could take one solid week or 7 depending on how my real work is.
This year with my real job has not been good so when ever a job pops up I need to drop everything to do it.
I know you guys are starting to get impatient but believe me I more than anybody want to get it done .
I priced as a 4 week project but am on my 72 day.
More than once I have wanted to throw in the towel but I have never let anybody down and this has been a challenge.

In 6 months it will be five years since this project was announced.

The tug is done !
I need to tie up a few loose ends then it is back onto the HIND.
Go to off topic for pics.

I thought you were talking or joking about the Hind being a tugboat. I thought you were implying the Hind would be done. So you’ve been building and actual tugboat. I understand now.

I have the first batch of 5 poured.slogan wrote:What’s the status of the builds?
I am in the process of putting them up ( fuselage) and am getting ready to sand.
The only thing left to pour are the main blades and rotor hub.
This weekend I am trying to get the camo template finished .
As always it is a lot more work than I originally thought it would be.
