JSI Spot Cat redone
JSI Spot Cat redone
This is my Special Edition electronic Spot Cat which I repainted using makeup sponges. It turned out pretty decent for minimal effort (about 4 hrs total masking and painting).

She looks so much better, nice job. That's a rare Cat, one of only 250 pcs. made.

Beautiful work
It’s awesome to see the F-14 repaints making a comeback nearly 10 years after the plane was first released. I also repainted my spotcat years ago... I let the spots show through a little bit, but achieved the worn look I think JSI was going for.

That LOOKS Great! I still need to do my spot cat. What paint did you use and did you apply all by hand?
Re: JSI Spot Cat redone
I spent about 4 hrs total masking the markings and applying paint using makeup sponges. I used Testors Light Ghost Gray which matched exactly with the original color. I forgot the paint sku number. I'll see if I can find it.TOOL wrote:That LOOKS Great! I still need to do my spot cat. What paint did you use and did you apply all by hand?

TOOL,
The bottle number for FS 36375, Light Ghost Gray, is #1728. This is for enamel paint though, if you use water based stuff, I can't help you.
