Re: Trumpeter Pre-Built Models?
I think you may have that the wrong way around. The Trumpeter version is from 2002 while Easy Model's was released in 2009; both versions are OOP btw. I believe I read a while back that Trumpeter began licensing out a bunch of its plane and armor kits for Easy Model to sell as builts, as Trumpeter wanted to concentrate on selling kits and save money not having to pay people to sit and build models all day.
Trumpeter actually manufactures kits for other companies anyway, like Hobby Boss, as they have been injecting plastic a long time and did all the heavy equipment investing already.

Maybe you're right there, but EasyModel you can get at a cheaper price, because they're a bit more common online, and in stores.

Re: Trumpeter Pre-Built Models?
I have a Hasegawa pre-built Zero which is rather good and I understand that they also put out a P-51D----both a long time ago---then gave up on the idea. As for Trumpeter, who knows, but it wouldn't surprise me if they saw Hasegawa doing it and tried the same thing.
