Well, I see a Bravo Team Bradley. Don't know about the Humvee and the rest, Little Bird and such, looks like Power Team maybe

The building has possibilities. Still seems like a lot for just $25

Just not anything for me.

Well, I have a hard enough time restoring a toy.
Don't possess the automotive skills to bring something like that back to life. Looks like a 50's vintage

A lot of missing parts too.
Keep looking.

Here's a really odd lot. Looks like the Apache is missing a blade. Couple of the vehicles are missing treads. Does say he has figures. Two nice planes and some modern vehicles. I'm not familiar with the modern stuff. Glad I'm not doing 1/32 anymore

I Just drove 1 hour each way to buy a used motorcycle for my son, guy no showed then his wife told me they sold it this AM when I called after I waited for them at the meet up for 15 minutes. This was my first Craig's list deal and may be my last! I don't know why I am surprised but the gall of people still shocks me sometimes. Worst part was I foolishly told my son what we were doing.

YT,
Sorry you had such a bad experience with your first Craigslist. I have sold more than bought on Craigslist over the years. We did great on most, but some we were the ones waiting on the person who said they would be over to pickup that bed or piece of furniture only to find out they are not going to show up. Some people are just sad and thoughtless.
But sometimes you encounter those moments that make you smile as you watch a cool Grandpa pickup a playhouse for his Granddaughter. The same playhouse you put together and watched your kids play in over the years. Now this Grandpa will be able to experience the same fun you had as he watches his Granddaughter play.
AND you get 100 Bucks out of the deal...

Craigslist is a sea of poo sometimes. Anonymity is the largest issue with it. People can email you and just disappear if they change their minds. They will leave ads run even though the car is long sold. They will agree on a price then show up and negotiate some more. They will try to negotiate sight unseen. They will ask you to ship and or trade or both. I just had someone do that and they lived in Louisville!
At the end of the day you can shield yourself from most of this by getting a contact phone number but even then they will just screen the call. I had a guy that was going to buy half of my collection once. He asked me to photograph it all and get prices. He agreed to buy then disappeared. Had is son catch his phone calls for him. Its hard to tell what makes people do this. Maybe excitement at the prospect of something then reality sets in and they are too embarrassed to be truthful. My rule of thumb has been that i don't put my self out too much for a sale and i never deal with someone that wont leave a call back number. It weeds out a few of the jokers but not all. In the end protect yourself the best you can and prepare for the worst. I could write a book on my experiences alone.

I've had my share of "Craigslist Idiots" including having things sold right out from under me too AFTER I had arranged to meet and complete the transaction. I called the number given to me to let the person know I was on my way only to be told she "just sold it" stating it was first come-first served.

Then there's the ones that you e-mail three times over a week's period with no reply or like the one guy finally answered after about 10 days: "sorry, I've been kinda busy."

There are enough opportunities out there including one I'm in the middle of (a major score!) that makes it worhtwhile to keep trying. Dealing with the general public is always an adventure.

Good perspectives guys, I guess I am an anachronism I still believe in the golden rule and my word is a bond. How do you raise young men in a world like this? Teach them right and they will always be behind the eightball in this asylum we live in.

I just drove one hour each way for this haul.
11 1/18 Airplanes 2 are not perfect, but the rest are - no boxes
agreed on $40.00 each last week, but after sharing some time and stories I was told just $200 for the lot. They all came home with me.
Also picked up three Franklin Mint Armour 1/48 B-24 Liberators for $100 total
A dragon and his tail - Mint in Box
Million Dollar Baby - Mint in Box
Formation Ship - Opened but looks in good condition.
One last item - HobbyMaster 1/48 P-47 "NO GUTS - NO GLORY" Mint in Box for $20.00
