1:48 on the P-47D?
Fans of that scale will go gaga.

The Ju-52 looks interesting. Glad HM is releasing the Junkers in WWII schemes. I have the last one released and am very impressed. Though it's pricey.

Wish we could get a floatplane JU-52.

Great to see HM expanding its 1/48 line with a bubbletop P-47.

And Gabreski is a great first release with an interesting camo pattern. Think the P-47 should do quite well, given that there are lots of schemes, one thing that US aircraft had an abundance of, particularly in WWII. The Germans, also.

Corgi does a floatplane Ju52, Dauntless. And in 1/72.

Awesome news with the HobbyMaster 1:48 P-47. I'm down for Gabreski's plane as well. I agree with the comment above that there are a ton of unique and flashy P-47 schemes they could do. I could go on with desired choices for the P-47 and I would love to get further aircraft from the 56th FG.

I posted this elsewhere.

Sticker shock: Flyingmule has it for $76.99.

That is one I do want. 8) Looks so much cooler in the side profile.
Just have to find it on sale. The $125 + price tag has kept me from buying it lately.

Happy for you 1:48 collectors, but a little envious we 1:72 collectors can't get a supply of decent P-51D's anymore.
Plenty of Gabreski P-47's out there in other scales though, including the 1:32 21st some of us are lucky enough to have, so probably a welcome sight in 1:48.

Just keep looking, Dauntless. Something will show up at some point that you can get a good deal on. The Ju52 doesn't get a lot of respect from Corgi collectors for some reason. Hardly gets any mention, but still a worthy model. I have three. Crete, "Minesweeper", and the "Where Eagles Dare" winter camo.

Actually, the 21C one is Dave Shilling's "Hairless Joe", a dogfight set. Very similar scheme, and a 56th FG T-Bolt. I thought it was Gabreski also, till I had it in my hands.

Ah, you're right Snake, my bad.
21st Century Toys a little faded from the memory banks these days. :? Have that Dogfight set. Also available in a rare single pack I never got.

Have two of Gabresky's planes in 1:72, the Dragon Razorback which is excellent, and the Matchbox bubble top, which is ok.

Yeah, keeping my eyes peeled for a Corgi Ju-52 floatplane deal. It's the best one to get imo.
