Maybe Hobby Lobby will pick those up.

I wish someone would make some ground crew!
Re: " SIX NEW SETS of 1:32 WWII FIGURES "
Not likely at all! These new figures will be resin-cast based on conversions of existing TSSD figures. They will be released in sets of 3-4 figures for collectors to add to the WW2 poses. Germans are first, followed by some US figures.Axis Nightmare wrote:Maybe Hobby Lobby will pick those up.The home of that wallet saving 40% off coupon.
This project might take Nick a while to accomplish. Stay tuned, the results will be worth it.

I must admit, I HATE resin! I hope the weapons are not too brittle.
And I'm with the guy that wants GROUND CREWS!!!!!

I know - most resin is quite brittle. The good news is that the cost investment in a resin mold is only a fraction of what it would be for a run of plastic figures.
My understanding is that Nick is going to test the market with a few sets and see how they sell. If sales are good, then more sets will follow. If sales are poor, well at least Nick was willing to try! He and Deanna are really nice people who enjoy toy soldiers.
No w to ground crews - the original assignment was to create "new" poses using TSSD figures and parts. TSSD doesn't make any applicable figures, they are all fully equipped infantry. For the new project only TSSD stuff could be used due to copyrights. A regular converted figure for an individual can "mix and match" any available parts, not so for a figure you want to reproduce for sale (unless you really enjoy lawyers!).
My suggestion for ground crews would be to have a figure customizer make you some, or look at the old Marx sets from the 50's. Those could also be converted to WW2 airfield teams.

HERE IS THE SOLUTION FOR ALL RESIN FIGURES!!
Have a sepereat mold for every type of WWII weapon, but cast them in a semi-soft plastic.
Then make all the resin figures you want, just glue the weapons into thier hands.
Just like FOV did.
Damn, of only I had a few hundred thousand dollars!

Will these new releases be 'new' or will they be re-releases of previously released soldiers but in smaller quantities?

These figures will be "mastered" fromonversions of TSSD soldiers. They are mostly more involved than simple "head swaps". I am quite pround of the five US figures in overcoats. Some of the Germans got quite involved as well. There will (hopefully) be a couple more USMC to be finished for the TSSD project.ketelone wrote:Will these new releases be 'new' or will they be re-releases of previously released soldiers but in smaller quantities?

I WILL BUY THEM ALSO. A few years ago I customised these figures for myself. I made alot of major changes, along with some easy ones:
For the long coat Americans, I switched the heads with the marines, so it looked like they were wearing winter camo. sheets on thier helmets, I also put a grenade in the commanders waving hand, easy and very effective improvement. He still looks too much the same. I wish I knew how to post photos.

Any idea of time frame for the availability of these new figures?
