Call the toy department? Nobody actually works in the WM toy department!
They send a drone in there every once in a while to stock the shelves but that's about it.

My walmart had a spot with tag for them but had none there. I keep checking everytime I go.

Re: Wings of Glory aircraft line!
... if you can turn them and make it worth the trouble, fees, headache of packing and shipping etc. Though you gotta watch out if they all hit the same time and there's a glut of them available ( that happens a lot) Good thing about WM is you can always return them if it doesn't work out.
If I see them I'll probably buy one. I'm not a 1:48 guy, but I got a couple of it's 21stC brothers the Warhawk and Tony so maybe.

Also there is a second one on ebay for 19.99 and no bids and ends tomorrow. I would hate to buy them all and try to put them on there and not be able to sell them.

The Walmart I was in here in Cincinnati was in the process of doing an entire reset of their toy department. Had lots of clearence moved out and a lot of empty shelf space for new items. Will check back later in the week.

Was gonna say, it aint worth it most times. Unless you want to wait for 5 years and the company goes out of business. (where'd that happen before?)cjg476 wrote:Also there is a second one on ebay for 19.99 and no bids and ends tomorrow. Re: Wings of Glory aircraft line!
These finally showed up at the 3 WM near me. I picked up a couple and they are very nice especially at $10. I hope I am not the only that buys these as I would like to see the items pictures on the box show up. If anyone needs any let me know and I will pick them up for cost and shipping.

Re: Wings of Glory aircraft line!
Haven't seen these in my area yet, but on account as I can't drive for the next few weeks, I really can't do a comprehensive search. Still, from the reports, the same areas of the country that always got the 21c goods at Wal Mart in the past are getting the new items again....
The P-51 looks to be exactly the same tooling as the 21c 1:48 aircraft. As for pilot figures, Hobbymaster makes a set of 1:48 scale WWII US and RAF pilot figures. I got a bunch to use in my existing 21c 1:48 planes.

Re: Wings of Glory aircraft line!
Hello All,
I went to Wally World today, and low and behold they had about eight of these in stock! As I collect 1/48th scale (aside from 1/18), I picked one up. I pulled out my 21st century "Princess" P-51 b/c and compared the details. As stated before, this is 21st Century's tooling reissued under this new brand name. The accessories were identical, as well as the panel lines and details. There was a subtle difference in the exhaust stacks between the two models, which accurate according to a profile I found of this aircraft! There also appears to be slightly more detail in the canopy framing. (both of these could done by 21st century) However, the trim tabs on this model are painted white, whereas in the profile they are shown as yellow. There was "prop droop" on some of the models I saw on the shelf, however I quickly found one with a nice tight fit. My biggest criticism of this model would be the anti-glare paint on the nose, forward of the cockpit. It's not quite the right color, but more unfortunate it's glossy paint! For the price, it's fine and could be great fodder for modelers! I hope this we see more, and new models at Wally, but I'm not holding my breath...

Re: Wings of Glory aircraft line!
Is the "By Request" scheme accurate as painted. I did some looking and saw some pictures with yellow wing chord bands, some with only the rudder and stabilizers red (rather than the red diagonal up on the spine like the P-51Ds)

Was in a huge Super Walmart in Dayton, OH today and there are still none to be found around here.

Re: Wings of Glory aircraft line!
Anyone making decal sheets based on the movie names? How about removing the "by request" w/o damaging the basecoat?
Re: Wings of Glory aircraft line!
i finally got it this morning...9.99 is an excellent price. I can't wait for the 1/18 scale
Re: Wings of Glory aircraft line!
How is this fantastic price still possible in current market? Amazing...
I would love to have these but think I have no chance finding these in my AO
Seeing what happened in the past with 21st prices, is it possible scalpers are clearing the stocks and gambling that these would appreciate in prices in years to come?

Re: Wings of Glory aircraft line!
I have seen them in stores but have seen more WM that have no plan to carry them as of now. My concern is they are not moving very fast. The 3 stores that have them still have at least 4 in each store and that is after I bought 2 at each store.
Re: Wings of Glory aircraft line!
Have seen them show @ 3 local WM's in my area. Appears each was stocked with 8. Unlike the "shangrila" & "red 19" repaints, I purchased several to help the cause. Not the greatest quality, but very reasonable for the price. Can always use for future repaints also. I was happy to see at least some show as it offers hope for the future that we have lacked for a while from any retailers.
