Actually Birddog found out and told me about it last week, we didn't want to mention it until someone officially announced it fearing we would jinx it. I'm glad to hear about it you bet. Now how many donuts can I buy for 500.00 dollars?

You guys were holding out on us? How did Birdog find out?
By the way, for whoever asked it would be about 3 feet long by about 3 1/2 feet wingspan. Or, as long as the F-18 and wider than it is long. A decent size.

Wow, a year is long time to wait for something so cool.
At least it is "in the pipes."
Finally we could kill that Hunger Strike thread....

Birddog Talked to the someone at Figures.com as the fair was going on I believe. Trust me we were both bursting at the seams to say something. Even now, I don't want to be too confident.

Well I'll be darned! NIce. And the neat thing is, usually when bbi announces something, they deliver it relatively close to on time.

Um, sure. Could that be the party line? I think so.
Obvious damage control and face-saving in light of bbi's "secrecy" policy and attempt to keep expectations so low and keep us so clueless that we could never be dissappointed. Nice try, but no. That does not sound like the type of thing that could be misinterpreted like the Sci-Fi figures last year or whatever. Let's end the charade, shall we? For all of our sanity.
I think it is safe to say it is going to happen.

Now we play the waiting game...

I just emailed the figures.com editor that posted the article to see if he can confirm that it was a BBI representative that announced the A-10 to them.
Hopefully we can quickly put this to rest (I agree with digger).

For Mike,
Where the hec do I find bbi hot news releases? The bbi website has not been updated in ages (no pic or listing for corsair, zero, paratroopers, WWII etc.) and the last email i received from the membership had a news item dated Oct 2001. I would love to see news from bbi but where do I find it?

Thanks! (not being sarcastic, I really want to know)

I'll believe it when I see it sitting on the shelves.

Well I am hopeful but realistic. I will be satisfied when they officially announce something. If it is due out in a year it is unlikely they would let the cat out of the bag this early. We will have to .....wait and see.

I was the bbi representative that met with figures.com during their time in our NYC showroom and I was very specific as to my comments to them regarding any items displayed there.
Our Hot News releases are emailed directly to bbi Members. Membership is free and sign up is via our website.
We broadcast all new releases as with the Corsair and Zero however those of you with SPAM filters active may not get the message as your filter will reject it. For each new release we get over 2,000 bouncebacks of our email.
So if you are an active member and not getting the news, then your filter or firewall is the reason."

Man I've been out for a little while................I hope the A-10 is going to be done. It would be a great shame and disappointment for it not to happen now. The e-mail I sent was to the editor of Figures.com. He was the one who told me of the A-10 plans. Man......I was just getting ready to eat. All I can say is PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BBI STILL BRING US THE A-10!!!!
Until then, the HUNGER STRIKE MUST GO ON!!!!!!!!

Well even if there is no "official" word I'm going to remain optimistic. We all know how valuable secrecy is to these manufacturers, but I feel confident we will probably see an A-10 in around a year to a year and a half unless something catastrophic happens...knock on wood.
