yep, same here! I paid over $300
If no one on here wants it I will be listing it on eBay for $200
It really is an incredible model, lots of metal parts!
Its my favorite King Tiger, Porsche did a great job on the turret design, you can see a little hint of Porsche's smooth stream lined designer look that is in their cars even today.

I would be all over this is I didn't already have boxes of unfinished kits to work on.
But if you were selling the FOV King Tiger....

actually, though it's usually referred to as the Porsche turret, Porsche (neither the man nor the company) had nothing to do with it. It was the initial krupp designed turret. Being difficult to make due to the curved bulge of the turret wall around the commander's cupola plus having the well known shot trap, it was replaced by the henschel turret which was the second design and the one used in all but about the first 50 KT's. Odd but true.

No trades, sorry, need the cash!
AF, Ive read that elements of this version were designed by Porsche for instance the suspension and electric/gasoline hybrid power system, but yes you are right the turrets shape came from Krupp. I still say that it looks curvy and sexy like a 911

Its almost as if the designer drew it out and the guy next to him said it has a shot trap and the guy said I dont care, it looks fast this way!
