Some detailing to Pappy’s Lucybelle.
First job was to pull all the rubber bits and toss them in the dust-bin. Filled the hole on the right wing and made a new pitot tube for the port wing. Painted the top of the canopy, cut out the exhaust ports and made new exhaust tubes, filled in the screw holes, made a new antenna mast, tail antenna wire mount with isolator and spring, added the fuel cap on hood, gun sight and gun switch dash panel, added the padded dash edge covers, covered the head rest with some deer skin leather, painted the red, amber, green lights under wing as well as the blue on top and added a formation light on the spine and tail. Added the spoiler to the starboard wing leading edge, wing port oil cooler screens, and aluminum blast tubes in the gun ports.

The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.

here are some shots of the added catapult launch hooks and forward mount hook (that covers the screw hole) and a better shot of the gun arm switch box that shows the toggle switch detail.
