Good points, Fredricchio! And all things considered-it's probably better I just go into the store and keep checking for myself!
Thanks for the pics, Markecho! Now I'm going back and back and back there for sure!!!

Thanks Mark....they do look sweet. Damn shame the guy that looks like Billy Bob lost a bet and has to wear his life vest around France, but the other guys are SO DAMN COOL. Only one Infantry hurts...I hope there are more to come :D

Hoping to see these around my AO soon - I only just found the origional paratroopers, which although they have all the gear and straps on, were just too cool to resist. I have a "thing" for action figures with parachutes. The new figures, however, have a much greater range of uses, though!

Has BBI considered making a 1:18 Jeep?

Anybody go TRU's SKN#s for these new figures??
I guess they are on the receipt? :?:

Please post if you have them.
I checked one TRU near me, but I will need to call the others in my area.

Thanks!

Skn

Razor - it won't do you much good as it is the same as the Amry Desert figures, including the BH pilots. You'll get a false positive and be in for a treat when you get to tru and they got nuthin'....I do have it somewhere and I will post it when I find it in my mess...(if you call and give the UPC from the other thread they will give you the skn).

Now, for all the dreamers and investigative types anyone notice the reference to weapon sets on the back of the card?? The figures already come loaded with weapons you say? Well, as another member pointed out to me, 2 say "weapons" and 2 say "support weapon" (singular). :D They would have some nerve putting a bazooka on a card and asking $5. Same with the Mortar. Howitzer maybe? 8)
I can dream can't I? :D

Those are the same names that the modern weapon sets had, though. Why they would be listed on WWII cards, I dunno. Could be new ones... :?:

Now those are nice figures... I can't wait to pick these up around here too. I'll definitely be army building those figures. If BBI's reading, that's how you do it... not the "specific" guys like the Para's were. These'll be worth picking up extras of all of them to deck out all the scenes with.

And on another figure note I got my first Japanese figures tonight from a buddy of mine. What can I say but in-frickin'-credible figures! Short of removable hats on the guys with soft headwear, and some less "posed" facesculpts, I'm pleased as punch with these. They're even better than the Marines that I was geeked over so that's great.

Now if my area would only actually GET these figures in so I didn't have to rely on helpful frineds out of state, or if they'd get any of all the other things i need like Battle of the Bulge (and variants), trucks and whatnot, then I'd be set. So far we're stocked up on green Marines for a LONG time I do believe, haha.

And we still have some stores with absolutely no XD product at all save for the same dusty old planes and choppers they've had for over a year now (going on 2 or more I think?). Sad.

Lots of S2 Marines at the WM in Canandaigua NY today. First I've seen around here.

WM's distribution logic is so twisted! Now that figures have actually been showing up in Upstate NY, there are Japanese in one store, S1 Marines at another, S2 Marines elsewhere, BOBs here and there, and some stores with nothing.

It does make it interesting when you pop into a WM you haven't been to in a while, though. You just don't know what you'll find.
